Ello! - An AI meal-planning app with one mission - to encourage us to make use of what’s already in the fridge.

In response to Design For Planet’s goals, I developed Ello - an app concept designed to tackle the environmental impact of household food waste (the highest contributor to the issue). By scanning what’s already in your fridge, Ello helps users turn leftovers and forgotten ingredients into proper meals.

A core part of the app is its mascot, a purple raccoon there to encourage behaviour change through humour and subtle threats.
